The MBA Oath

America doesn't trust "big business."

Wall Street is synonymous with thievery and greed.

But just out today is a book that hopes to change all that: The MBA Oath: Setting a Higher Standard for Business Leaders is a book of old-fashioned business ethics - core virtues like stewardship and responsibility - for a new generation of business leaders.

Written by Max Anderson and Peter Escher, two recent Harvard MBAs, it's a much-needed call to arms for capitalism and the benefits of an honest day's work. The authors created this businessperson's Hippocratic oath with help from their professors, and stirred up support among their classmates. But even they were surprised how fast the idea caught on: "The world was groaning for a change," they write.

It's my weekend reading-so more on Monday. But if you're looking for some weekend reading, check it out.
